2014 Ferrari 458 Spider
The successor to the F430, the Ferrari 458 Italia appeared at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Ferrari's V8 series has evolved every 5 years starting in 1989 with the 348, the F355 in 1994, the 360 Modena in 1999, and the F430 in 2004, and of course this 458 is another masterpiece in the bloodline.
The chassis is a newly designed aluminum space frame, and the direct injection V8 engine produces 562 HP and 398.5 lb-ft, an astonishing figure from a normally aspirated engine. The transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch 2-pedal MT, and the shift speed has been greatly improved over previous models. Their Manettino system unifying the engine, gearbox, suspension, E-DIFF, F1 Trac, ESP, and high performance ABS controls, has advanced greatly, and allows the selection of 5 modes: Low Grip, Sports, Race, CT cut, and CST cut. Now it is possible for the driver to enjoy safe, fun driving more than ever.
